I have enabled OWA and now I want to make it more secure, so I have followed this link to setup ssl:

if I go to my mail url

I get this page must be viewed over a secure channel, which is correct. If I then:
I get page can not be viewed\unavailable.

The exchange server is the CA and the certificate if for:
mailhost.xxx.co.uk

What could be wrong?

Gary

Do you have "Require Client Certificates" enabled in IIS?

apoligise!!!

the exchange is the CA and the certificate is for mailhost.xxx.co.uk/exchange which resolves to the exchnage server

but now I need to use the exchange server in the url:

for the certificate to work!

It now works but thank you for your replies!

Gary

Lets start again, I must of been drunk when I put my last reply on!!!

Internally(within my domain) the certificate works, outside say from my home I get page can not be viewed\unavailable.

I have "Require Client Certificates" enabled in IIS
and I have tried reinstalling the certificate.

Does anyone have anymore ideas what could be causing this?

Gary

If it works internally, and not externally, it's likely a router/firewall issue. Make sure you're forwarding port 443 to the server.
