OWA Views

Is it possible to change views in outlook web access the same way you can change them in outlook itself? One example would be changing the view so it only show read messages. Or showing all messages regardless of their being read or not. Any information would be of great help.

Sorry but did you actually LOOK at that screen?
Next to Inbox on top it says (Two line view) or whatever the current state is. Click the arrow to change the view.

YES I HAVE LOOKED AT THE SCREEN. This option is not there. But the bigger issue I have is when an individual reads a message from his inbox, then changes folders and goes back to the inbox, the message he just read is gone. Its not in his deleted items folder, it didn't get moved to an offline folder. That's why I am trying to find out if there are different view categories in OWA.

Your view has to be set on Messages, or you will only see the unread ones. Check Help if needed, the option is there.
