I have a second problem to my exchange saga. I have the server up and running, everything fine. The problem comes with users (and only certain ones) try to logon to OWA.

I enable SSL authentication. It prompts for the user name and password. Some you type it in and BAM, works great.

Others it keeps asking and asking, and then shows access denied.

I have compaired the exchange tab settings for the users that work to the users that do not and all are the same.

My other problem is,how can I add the exchange functionality to my other domain controllers, IE able to add mailboxes from the non exchange hosted domain controller.

Thanks in advance.

Tim

Your second problem is the easier. You need to install the Exchange Tools.

From the Exchange CD pretend you are going to install Exchange on the server and selct the option ot Install Exchange Tools Only.

After installing the tools, you need to install the Exchange Service Pack on the DC too to patch the tools to be the same as your Exchange server, hopefully SP2.

Now on to the first problem. have you checked your security settings in IIS?

Security should be configred as such:
Code:
Default Web site
    Enable Anonymous access
    Integrated Windows Authentication
Exadmin
    Integrated Windows Authentication
    Require SSL
        Require 128 bit
Exchange
    Basic Authentication
        Default Domain \
Exchange-oma
    Integrated Windows Authentication
    Basic Authentication
ExchWeb
    Enable Anonymous access
    Require SSL
        Require 128 bit
Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync
    Scripts and Executables
    Exchange Application Pool
    Basic Authentication
        Default Domain DomainName
OMA
    Scripts Only
    ExchangeMobileBrowseApplicationPool
    Basic Authentication
        Default Domain DomainName
Public
    Basic Authentication
        Default Domain \
    Require SSL
        Require 128 bit

I hope you find this post helpful.

Are the working and non-working users on the same domain?
Does it always work for the working users and always fail for the non-working users or is it intermittent?

Im having the same problem. I can access it if I browse to https:// instead of http:// however I get a directory listing of all of the exchange mailboxes instead of the default view.

Any ideas?

OCS1, you should start your own thread as this is a seperate issue. You have SSL enabled and required.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
