OWA works fine internally but from the outside it gives me a page cannot be found. Any ideas? Where do I start troubleshooting?

Our Infranstructure:
- We have a Exchange Front end Server running Exchange 2003
- And Two Exchange 2003 Server which are clustered

It worked fine before and all of sudden doesnt work anymore.

Any Exchange or IIS-related errors in the event log on the FE? Have you tried restarting the IISAdmin service on the FE? Are you running ISA on the FE?

At the front end server; I get the following error in the System Event Viewer:

Product: Windows Operating System
Event ID: 10016
Source: DCOM
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: EVENT_COM_ACCESS_DENIED_IN_SERVER_ACTIVATION_OR_LAUNCH_PERMISSION
Message: The %1 permission settings do not grant %2 %3 permission for the COM Server application with CLSID %4 to the user %5\%6 SID (%7). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

%1 = machine-default, application-specific; %2 = local, remote; %3 = launch, activation; %4 = ; %5 = /; %6 = .

See this article:

Error message when you use Outlook Web Access or when you try to access an ASP Web page on an Exchange Server 2003 server that is running Windows Server 2003: "The page cannot be displayed"

There's a known problem when you install SP1 and then remove it. Could that have happened? Even if not, check out the article, since it seems to match your situation.

It suggest to load Service Pack 1 which I did and did not resolve the issue. Thanks again for the help. Any other suggestions will be helpful.

When this happens on my SBS2003 server I need to run the "Connect to the Internet" wizard from Server Management, leave the connection type, email the same but recreate the Web Certificate.

Then it starts working again.

HTH,
Carl.

First try to ping the public IP or name of your OWA see if you are able to reach.?

Also tell me how have you setup your OWA it the private IP of exchange NATed or is it a direct public IP configuration.
Any firewall in between?
