Hi
I have been reading up on how to config OWA and using ISA server is always brought up. we have a small 03 AD lan. we sit behind a NAT cisco 2500 router. What i'd like to do is set up a front end in the lan and have OWA clients access the front-end thru the router and have it forward requests to the exch 03 server
i cannot find any info on doing this
can someone please point me in the right direction

I have a client that does that very thing behind a PIX firewall. Only port open is 443.

thx anawrocki
it's good to know someone has that config working
however, all i gather so far is that i may have to have my isp config the router to forward 443 communications to whatever internal ip i end up giving the front-end server.
i really could use some tech docs that discuss this config in detail

You only need to forward port 80 if you're using standard HTTP. Definately go with 443 as this is HTTPS and therefore uses SSL. (I'm sure everyone knows the difference between HTTP and HTTPS):)

ISA is not a pre-requisite but I believe it specifically does packet inspection to make sure the traffic is for OWA.

I think you might find this helpful.

Windows and NT Admin.

thx all for your input
i guess i'll have to just try this out
thx
