I normally use Outlook for my mail. Configured as an exchange client withour authentication (forces a password request for send/receive). When I use OWA to test, I do not have anything but new messages--older inbox messages do not show. Quite sure they used to be there. Any ideas?

Are you using PST files or keeping the mail on the Exchange server? If you're using PST's, then they get downloaded from the server and won't show up in OWA, as it only shows the Exchange mailbox.

Configured Outlook aas Exchange client. Guess if it acts as a POP3 client rather than IMAP4, it could account for the mail not being there. Is that the case? Thanks.

Yes and no. If the only mailboxes you have (when you turn folder view on) is MAILBOX - "your name", then when you go into OWA, you should see everything in your Inbox, regardless of whether you've read it from Outlook or not. If you have a set of folders named Outlook Today [Personal Folders], then it's downloading the mail from your Exchange mailbox to your PST folders. Go to Tools/Services/Delivery and see where it's delivering the incoming mail.

Running xp pro. Have Outlook today, so must be they are downloaded rather than kept both iin pst and server.

He is accessing it through a web browser, but he's trying to find out why his mail that he's read with Outlook already isn't there when he accesses his mailbox via OWA.
