I frequently get events which either cause the to hang or Dr. Watson inetinfo.exe errors.

Event ID: 5
Source: Active Server Pages
Error: Unexpected Error (sometime there is a path for an asp file)

This is an NT server with only the OWA component. McAfee anti-virus is running on it.

I can't find anything on this issue.

I have the same problem and was looking for a solution. I am using InoculateIT anti-virus with Exchange 5.5 servers. I suspected it was a problem with the anti-virus. I have selected for the anti-virus to not scan the inetinfo.exe file, but still get periodic shutdown of the accompanied by the Dr. Watson error:
An application error has occured
and an application error log is being generated.
inetinfo.exe
Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x7801020b

I do not see any associated errors in the event log.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Dan

What it says when sometimes there is an asp path would be the key. Especially if it also gives a line number in the asp a little further down the page.

Without that there is really nothing to go on.
