I'm having a problem using OWA with Exchange 2003. When logged into a laptop as a local user, and then attempt to access a mailbox using I get a login dialogue box as expected, and when I enter a a domain user I get the OWA screen.

However the login box then proceeds to appear continuously as I navigate around the inbox etc - regardless of whether or not the 'remember password' option is checked. Sometimes re-entering account information works, sometimes I get 'Access is Denied'.

Authentication method is set to Windows Integrated in IIS which works perfectly when a user is logged into the domain

Am I missing something obvious!

Try Using http:\\ipaddress\exchange to see if thats ok... There may be a dns issue?

Thanks for replying, that seems to work but I'm not sure why as the //servername method works up to a point!

Even as a local user the servername can be resolved using nslookup/ping etc so I'm mystified as to why it works erractically.

However - using the IP address is no hardship so thanks for your help!

It seems as though your DNS may not be working right.. try creating another A record in your Forward lookup zone with a different name pointing to your IP address. Then try and ressolve that name from nslookup or from a client. Then try accessing your OWA using that servername.
