This seems like it should be so simple but I cannot find a way to overwrite an existing text file on all users PC's. I have Active Directory setup and running but cannot find a way to simply push out a new text file with the same name as the old text file to a specified directory on users PC's? I've even tried Wininstall LE to create an MSI before and after snapshot but it would not overwrite the existing file. I called ondemand support and they said that an msi file would not overwrite an existing file and offered no other options? Any words of wisdom or condolences? :)

Thx! Dave

What about some form of scripting solution that deletes the existing file and then when pushing the new .txt it would be a clean landing spot.

In your group policy object for your users, make an entry in your login script to copy your.file to the same location on all the hard drives, if you use a copy /y command it will overwrite the file everytime without prompting. this way you just update the source file and when they login it will get copied and overwrite the old one.
