Overriding HDD limits for Windows 2000

I have a AMD-K6 that I have just added an 80 GB HDD. I am installing Win2K and need to know how to overide the HDD limitations. I installed the WD EZ-Bios and it is seeing the whole drive, but Win2K is only seeing 8GB. I believe that Win98 would recognize at least 32 GB.

Were did I go wrong? Oakwind

FAT32 and NTFS can see up to 2TB. The problem is your old BIOS which supports a max of 8.4GB. And EZbios/EZdrive software is generally crap. If it's not working (and you know it's installed correctly), look at fixing this the right way and upgrading the BIOS instead. These software overlays that "trick" the system into seeing the drive are bandaid fixes and generally cause more problems than they're worth, imho. ________

win2k doesnt have HD limit im running 40gb and 60gb hds with no problems, did you partition the HD? if so did u format the other partitions? Have you tried looking in Computer Management then going to Disk Management ? what does it say in there about your harddrive?
