Hello, Currently we are using Back Office 4.5 and I am currently writing up a proposal to upgrade to SBS 2003 Prem.

Our setup now is a web server, that gets about a 1000 visits a day (to the 3 website it serves). The webserver hosts are exchange server as well. A probably a few more other services I failed to mention. We have a another file server used that is also the DC. This computer connects the 10 computers we have networked and the 2 network printers. The 8 employees using quickbooks, and access some excel/word files perhaps 5 times an hour. Doesn't seem like a heavy load to me.

Is it possible to squish this all down to a single server or am I asking to much out of a machine?

Any suggestions, or comments appreciated.

Thank you.

From what I see, you don't need a very strong server for all of this. A single Xeon cpu with around 2GB of ram should suffice PLENTY.

BTW I would never run websites on a server that houses important data (ie file, emails or DB). My webservers always run on an independant server (doesn't need to be very strong) and on a machine that isn't joined to the domain. This webserver is usually on a different subnet and ideally behind it's own firewall.
