We recently upgraded our Merlin Legend Mail up to Merlin Messaging, but we are still experiencing on problem that we can not find an answer to. Before the upgrade, all outside calls coming into the building were sent directly to our voicemail system if a direct extension number was entered into the Auto Attendant. Now all incoming calls from the outside go directly to the phone extensions and not the voicemail. The answer that was given by Avaya is to either go back to the old mail system, or unassign all the phones to the voice mail extensions, and then use outcalling to turn on the message light. Leaving the extension operator responsible for shutting off the message light manually after retrieving their messages. Is there any way to go back to what we had previously without going through everything mentioned above?
