outputting updated queries to reports

I want to output the results from my query into a report that is created by access. Basically in the query i have the criteria "like [forms].[frmkeyword].[txtkeyword]" so that the user can enter a keyword and search for a certain record then it shows the results in a subform. I want to output the results that appear to then click on a button, and export those records to a new report (or a template). I have tried useing the OUTPUTTO option but it will not let you output to a report inside access.

I think you need to use the DoCmd OpenReport option
