Outlook XP Not Responding on Exit

I am using MS XP pro and outlook 2002 (XP). I am connecting to an exchange 2000 mail server. Everytime I exit out of outlook, it hangs up on the outlook box that states, "Please wait while Outlook exits." I have re-installed outlook and used the detect and repair feature. I have also scanned my computer for errors and rebooted many times. Does anyone have any ideas as to what would be doing this. I speculate it's might be hanging when trying to disconnect from the exchange server???? Thank You.
