outlook wont get mail

When trying to retrieve mail outlook get stuck on 2 of 13. Went to web based mail for this account and deleted all mail and it still wont get passed this problem. Called the server to check if the mail causing the problem was still on the sever and they said “ all mail was deleted”.
Is there a fix?

What version of Outlook? What version of Exchange? If you have 2002 then run the Detect and Repair. Can anyone else retrieve your email. Have another user open your mailbox to see if this is a server or local computer issue.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
