Outlook Web Aaacess error:

I have a user (remote) getting to his mail thru OWA. I can e- mail him, and he can reply. But if he tries to send a new e-mail to anyone, the error says that the message body is too large, OWA only supports a message body up to 100k. Yet all he was trying to send me was the word "test". Thanks for your assistance.
BYT- We're running Exchange Server 5.5 SP4 on a NT.40 SP6 box.
