Outlook slow to send and receive

I thought this might be a server issue but only 2 people are complaining about it. I just got through hitting s/r 3 times before it would send the 1 email in my outbox.
Both machines are Win2000 with Office XP SP1.
Server in Win NT. Email accounts are configured as POP3.

I had this problem and removed the account profile then reconfigured it as a new one. Once I did this the program worked well.

Thanks for the tip. I tried a detect and repair on my machine and it seems to have helped.

Keep an eye on this. My software also worked after a detect and repair but after a while I had to run the D&R everytime I wanted to run Outlook.
