Outlook send / receive

I have Outlook set to send / receive every 5 minutes however, it won't do it when the screen saver is active.
Is there a setting that should be changed / checked?
(P4, 2.2GHz, 768MB)

Sorry to state the obvious here, but disable the screen saver.

If it's a computer, if aint broken, it probably isn't turned on!!!!!
