Outlook 2000 (all sp installed, NOT sp3 I did not install sp3 on this particular machine because it conflicts with a database we are running.)
When a reminder is setup, it is not being triggered, no pop up appears and no sound is played. Also, suppose it is 2:53, at this time I setup a reminder for 3:00, Outlook prompts saying the current time is past the appointment time...strange. I made sure that Tools-Options-Default Reminder is also checked and made sure of current time zone AND clicked on other tab, advanced options, clicked reminder options and made sure both 'display the reminder' and 'play reminder sound:' is also checked.
In addition to the above I also attempted using the /cleanreminders as well as /cleanfreebusy switches.
Did Detect & Repair as well.
Next issue is autotext. Same PC. In Outlook for some reason when the user puts info in the autotext, it will save some entries, but not all. She will close out of Outlook, go back in and some entries will be missing. It says from what I see they are stored in a Normal Global Template. (NOt sure where the location of this file is). I attempted to open the *.dot files, mainly the normal.dot and checked to see if any entries were in there...none were. Not sure if I'm doing this right.
I also removed and reinstalled office 2k with all sp and updates w/o sp3. (But, ms likes to put files on there that are not removed by the uninstaller, so I manually attempted to remove the files and some reg settings I was aware of)
Any help in this matter is appreciated.
Thanks
