I have Win ME, Outlook 2000 on a stand alone cpu.

my hard drive has 1.9G of space left & the PST file exists and is about 268 megs in size.

when trying to open an email or delete an email i get the message
The file C:\windows\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst could not be accessed.

I also have 36 emails that i can not get off the mail server.

what can i do.

It can also be a permissions issue. Try copying and renaming the file, then rename the copy back to the original and try to access it then. First, make sure Outlook is not running ( use the task manager ).

I had a similiar problem with a .pst from outlook 2000. After I tried a few things, on a whim I tried opening the outlook.pst with outlook 2003, and it opened. Can't explain it, but it worked.
