i have just copied a personal folders file onto my computer that has serveral contacts on it. I would like to send some individuals on this list an email. however i do not know how to access the contact. do i have to copy the contact from the 2nd pst folder into my outlook today folder contacts in order to use the TO function on the mail message. if not how can this be done.

I don't have the time to experiment at the moment, but I suspect that (if it's possible) to do what you want, you'll have to do something like:

Right click on the contacts folder of the new pst file, Properties, Outlook Address Book tab, check 'Show this folder as an e-mail address book'. Then, you may need to go to Tools, Services, Addressing tab to set or change the order of the address books. You may have to close & restart Outlook.

thanks alot that worked with the first part of setting it to show this folder as an address book.
