We are unable to connect to our exchange 2003 server using outlook 2003 (office 2003 SP3). We use outlook with an exchange mailbox. Here are the errors we get:

With cached mode ENABLED:

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. You must connect to your exchange server computer with the current profile before you can syncronize your folders with your offline folder file."

With cached mode DISABLED:

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The file x is not an offline folder file."

We have tried everything to no end. Does anyone have a suggestion for us?

Thank you,
Johan

fixed the problem:

The active directory account was corrupt. Had to "delete" the mailbox (since it just disconnects the user from the mailbox, that was ok) then delete the AD account. Then recreated the AD account, reconnect the user to the mailbox, and everything worked fine.
