Hi all

I have a problem with Outlook 2000, i am adding a new user to it but it keeps asking for a pst file that doesnt exit....

I cant get rid of it even if i config outlook manually....

Is there an ini file i need to look at??

any ideas?? 'A world without donuts is like a donut without a hole.......wait that would mean more donut! I'm a Genius' Homer Simpson

by the way i get the same error when i try to uninstall outlook

i have tried an over install also..no good 'A world without donuts is like a donut without a hole.......wait that would mean more donut! I'm a Genius' Homer Simpson

Can you explain what's happening a bit clearer? When does Outlook look for the pst file? Is it when you open the user's mailbox?

I have seen something similar but without better description it's hard to say if it's the same thing. Anyway here goes....

When a user logs into Outlook it give an error that it cannot find a pst file at x location. That pst file no longer exists but the profile still hangs onto it.

Recreate the pst file (a new one is fine) so that Outlook finds it when opened, go into TOOLS>SERVICES and highlight the pst file and choose REMOVE. Close Outlook, delete the pst file and then reopen Outlook. It should not look for the pst again as you have removed it from the services.
