Every time I open Outlook on a client computer it starts downloading from Exchange and midway through it freeze and stops responding and I must end the app and open it again. Anyone else ever have this problem or know how to fix it?

I assume since you're posting in the SBS 2003 Forum that you're using exchange 2003. Please confirm.

What happens when you try logging in as a different user on this workstation, and access the exchange server?

What happens if you log this user in to a different workstation and access the exchange server?

Additionally does this same problem surface if you log into outlook web access? try
Code:
[URL unfurl="true"]http://servername/exchange[/URL]
-Replace "servername" with the actual name of your server.

You may also want to create a new outlook profile to see if that resolves your problem.

The idea being we should isolate when and where this problem occurs.
Is it client side, server side, or a workstation issue?

I could imagine this happening if your systems were set to download mail to local .pst files, and you had folder direction on and quotas in place....

It only happens on this workstation with all users that connect to exchange in sbs. It does not happen in webaccess. It only happens if it has to update the folders and then begins to download the files.
