The AppData directory that linney pointed you to is a hidden directory. If you are browsing these directories using Windows Explorer you will need to have the "Show hidden files and folders" option configured. If you want to see a directory listing view of this folder from the command line enter the following or copy and paste the following into a command prompt. Run this command under the C:\Users\Thomas directory as you did in the above post.
Open Outlook and click on File/ Data File Management, this will open a windows with the location where Outlook is storing the .pst files. Have a read of the text which appears in the lower pane next to the "Tell Me More" button.
I can't start the computer whit the original outlook instalation is.
But I have another XP comp where the same version of Outlook is installed.
Here it tells me that the file is called Outlook.pst
And is placed in
C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Lokale indstillinger\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\
And true enough there is an Outlook.pst file.
On the recovered disk there is only a All Users in
I:\Documents and Settings\
And no files at all.
I've searched for *.pst throu the entire drive - nothing
(ps. I aware of hidden files in the search)
