outlook express won't open PPS or excel docs

Just re formatted, out look express won't open attachments, it claims there is no associated

Have you checked file associations? Do you have Office installed? OE won't open PPS or Excel files without it, it doesn't have 'preview' function as Outlook 2007 does for instance.

Yes, First you need Excel installed and PowerPoint OR the PowerPoint Viewer. But if PPS files STILL won't open, then try this fix:
