I have several different accounts in OE, and I've created folders in my inbox for each one. problem is, each account is in several different groups, so what I want to say in the rules is:

Where the e-mail is to <ACCOUNT_1>
Move to folder ACCOUNT_1

But all I've been able to do is say if the To line contains the e-mail address, move to folder ACCOUNT_1. But this doesn't move the e-mail if it was sent through a group. any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, I don't think OE will let you filter by account. But you might be able to get it to do what you want if you know similar attributes from message received in a group, like a sender address or common subject word/phrase. Commonly, e-letters and such use the same sender address or subject line for each subsequent mailing.

You could create additional rules to move these to the appropriates account's folder. Perhaps an e-letter might slip through because the publisher changes something, but that can be easily fixed.

This isn't what you wanted, but it may work for you.

actually, I found the answer. it's
WHERE THE MESSAGE IS FROM THE SPECIFIED ACCOUNT

I would have thought that would apply to sent mail, but somehow it works, so that's the main thing!

thanks for the reply
