Every time I open Outlook Express a dialogue box pops up that says that OLEXpress did not shut down properly and thus I'm not able to use it. Then I shut it down using Task Master and it still comes up with the message.

I also wanted to uninstall/reinstall but OLExpress does not come up in any of the Add Remove or Window Option windows.

Would appreciate any thoughts on what to do

Thanks

If you go into Start > Settings > Control Panel and use add and remove programs you can uninstall OLEX from there.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but if you want to uninstall Outlook Express, you were on the right track by going to the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel. Outlook Express is a Windows Component, so you also have to go to Add/Remove Windows Components.

I hope this helps!

Peace! [peace]

Never say Never!!!
Nothing is impossible!!!

Yes, I tried this but Outlook Express does not appear in either Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel or the Add/Remove Windows Components sections. Windows won't let me uninstatll it from anywhere else.

any thoughts?

Have you tried running SFC as the OLEX files may be corrupted?

No I haven't--- I'll give it a try
thanks

Well, that did nothing--still can't uninstall.
