A customer pulled a PC out of an 8month "retirement"

It has OE5. System Date/time is set perfectly.

The PC works fine, but inbound mail has a datestamp of 6months ago, and the time is off by 5hrs.

How, other than the system clock, would OE be determining timestamps?

This occurs for inbound messages from several sources, so I can't blame the sending servers.

Many thanks for any ideas you may have.

Maybe check you Timezone in Control panel. If the answer is here, mark it, others can benefit from it too.
Free Tip: The F1 Key does NOT destroy your PC!

This could be caused by your mail server. Try collecting the same mail on another machine. If the dates are off by the same amount, contact the mail server admin.
