Using Windows XP and Outlook Express 6

Signed up to freeserve using wizard.
Can receive messages from freeserve but when I try to send a message to anyone I get the following message:

The connection server has failed. Account: "pop. freeserve.com (1)", Server: "smtp. freeserve.com", Protocol: SMTP, Port:25, Secure (SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800ccc0E.

Can anyone shed some light on this please ?

Problem solved

In the UK we can withold our telephone caller ID (# 141).
This prevents called number from being able to identify you (#1471).
Freeserve, however, will not accept an email posting unless your caller ID can be identified.
Moral of story: Do not withold your telephone number if you wish to use Freeserve.

If you are UK, use .net instaed of .com
