I am not a technical, so I need some help on this one! When I open Outlook Express 6, I get these error messages:
The host 'smtp.comcast.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
The host 'mail.comcast.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
I have checked all my account & server settings, have pinged outgoing & incoming mail - all are correct and functional.
I use Mcaffee Security, & I have disabled my firewall, changed virus scan options to not scan e-mail messages,
re-booted, and still have the same problem! I have Windows ME edition, and I have not had this problem until day before yesterday. Called my internet provider( Comcast ), & all is working properly on their end. I hope some can help me with this!
Thanks,
tcee
