Outlook contacts on vista cannot dial out this is ver 4.1 this worked before on xp do I need to upgrade to ver 5 ipoffice

You can upgrade to 5.0 but then it still won't work.
Better upgrade Vista to Windows 7 or downgrade to XP Pro.
Vista has no TAPI, and don't try to get it to work because you can't get it working.
