I have imported a large file of messages from OE to Outlook and now I want to archive some older ones, but it wont work. It seems that the archive function is based on the sent or received or "modified" date, whichever is the later. Apparently, the action of importing the files sets the "modified" date to the date they were imported. So trying to archive old messages wont work because the latest date is too recent.

So my question is, how can I get Outlook to archive on the sent or received date and not the modified date? Or, how can I change the modified date to something older?

Cheers,
Brodie

Same problem here. All I can find to do so far is an advanced find on received date and move the mail to a PST, but that does not maintain the folder structure.

I'm asking my colleagues across the water.......
