I have an Exchange Server 5.5 on NT4. This configuration has been working nicely. However I needed to reconfigure my network so the IP-adress of the server has been changed, as well as the clients. Since then the server does not respond to a call from Outlook. While connecting Exchange does not respond. Any idea's?

Can you still ping the Exchange server from a client? By IP or by name, or both?

Is your name resolution working correctly?

Are the clients and the server still on the same network?

Have you checked your IP configuration carefully?

Have you checked obvious stuff like NIC's, patch leads, etc?

Can you post the IP address / subnet mask / default gateway, etc here?

Andy, Zbnet,

Thanks for your effort. I found the cause of the problem. I'm organising a new network with a new exchange-server. This means the first server is no longer the PDC of the domain where the clients belong to.
After a roll-back so the clients are member of the first domain, the problem was solved.
I think, Andy, you were trying to show me the cause as well.
Thanks again.
