I know how to set an appointment as "Private" so that others can't see any of the details but will know that I'm not available. However, I would like to hide an appointment from everyone else altogether. I combine my personal & work calendars and nobody at work needs to know about (say) my daughter's birthday party. Any thoughts?

Right click on the appointment and select private. -Best cartoon of all time :-D 'Spongebob Squarepants' :-D

Thanks for the prompt reply but, unless I'm missing something, I think my question remains.

I know how to make an appointment "private" (I've just been selecting the small field in the lower right corner of the appointment window so it's good to know about the right-click - thanks). The result, however, is that others sharing my calendar can see that I have an appointment. Granted, they can't see any details - only "private."

But what I'd like to accomplish is to create appointments that only I can see on my own calendar, that others with viewing rights to my calendar can't see at all. To their eyes, I'd have nothing at all scheduled.

I was able to accomplish this with the Netscape Calendar program we used at my previous location but I can't find a way to do it with Outlook.

Thanks, again, for your help.

Ahh I see. To answer your question you are unable to do this with Outlook. Once your Calendar is shared in order for people to view it at all you need to enable Folder Visable in the permissions Tab which you already know. The only thing is you can't select certain appointments to be unviewable. Dumb I know but this is Microsoft for you. The only work around is to not make a intuitive name for that day and add notes 'inside' the appointed day on the details. -Best cartoon of all time :-D 'Spongebob Squarepants' :-D
