outlook automation

having brought our server to a grinding halt by sending out a series of emails to my customers, our IT dept suggest i send out a noumber of emails per hour.
the emails usually have an attachment and normally approx 300 kb
if you have ever tried to send out an email at 30 minutes intervals without missing a slot.
whils as a company we are not into and never will be mass mailer (i hate spam) i am looking for a way if possible to use outlook with or without excel or word using VBA to send an email from my contact.

Alex, I'm working on a project now to get data from the Outlook calendar into Excel.

and did a search for Outlook automation, and found code examples to copy and modify for what I needed.
