Outlook automatically deleting

I am having a problem w/one of my users. Whenever an e-mail is opened, read and then closed it disappears. It does not go to Deleted folder or any other folder. I have checked all of the options in Outlook and cannot find anything that would be turned on/off regarding this. It is becoming increasingly frustrating.

In the Inbox, check the View, Current View settings. Is it set to show unread messages only?
