Outlook: automatic connect to IMAP server on startup

I used to have it configured this way. After a crash, Outlook has to be repaired and I can't remember how to do it any more. Can anyone help?

control panel-email icon

add a profile (if not present) then add service.

if profile present, add a service, server type IMAP.

I found out that after the crash, Outlook is unable to recognize the setting in Mail Setup -> Send Receive. The only way to get it to work is to remove the IMAP account and add it back.
