Outlook and not Express 1

I am tring to logon to newsgroups using outlook 2003, but my problem is that express starts up. I do use express but not for newsgroups but I need to use outlook only for newsgroups. Can someone assist with info on how I can acheive this.

The newsgroup reader component of Outlook is Outlook Express.
