I am using Outlook 2003. The issue, which is Intermittent, when i'm viewing my mailbox and i click on an email just to highlight but not open and then click on the subject column to sort by subject. The mail sorts by subject but the email that i had highlighted isn't highlighted anymore and is lost in the sort. My mail is being delevered to a .PST file and i am running windows XP. Has anyone seen this problem? Please help

Thanks
James

So, This is what i've done to try and fix the issue. I've deleted the outlook profile and recreated it and i scanned and repaired the errors in the .PST file using SCANPST.EXE. All with no luck. Is there a configuration file or something that i can delete or recreate?

My company president just started having the exact same issue. Any help here would be much appreciated!

This appears to be related to the fact that Outlook is collapsing the inbox messages into groups when it does the sort on subject. If we stop the collapse, it works. Can’t figure out why it sometimes collapses and sometimes doesn’t. Is there a way to stop it from collapsing the messages permanently?

Thanks for any help!

As of today i still haven't found a fix for this issue. If anybody has a resolution. please post.

Thanks
