Don't know if you have come across this before but here goes... Ok a user has his mailbox setup in off-line mode as default. He also has a personal folder on his local HDD which includes a folder called "sent items". I have set a rule for all messages sent through his Exchange A/C to be copied to the sent items folder in his personal folder. When he is sending on-line the rule works OK, but when he is off-line the emails are not moved to the sent folder under his personal folder, nor his exchnage mailbox sent folder. I am thinking they should be in his OST file but I thought the contents of the OST file should be copied to his mailbox when we synchronise - they are not and I can't find his sent emails!

Can anybody help / suggest how we can find his messages?.

It's likely the rule you created is a Server-Side rule and not a Client-Side rule. So the rule only runs when the client is connected to the server.

That was my initial thought but the rule is definately a client side rule.

I have also searched all outlook folders for the sent items and cannot find them..!
