In Outlook 2003, when composing a new email, how do I set up the option to show the red underline on misspelled words. Just like in Word.
Thanks in advance.

tools, options, spelling and make selections

Laters, phat, headshape

You also need to make sure that you have it enabled in Tools, Languages. Open the Tools, Languages, Set Languages, choose your default language, clear the check boxes for Automatically Detect Language and No Proofing. Then click DEFAULT and answer YES.

Sorry, but neither of those are what I'm looking for. Let me reask the question. If you are in Outlook 2003 and go to Actions -> New Mail Message Using -> Microsoft Office Word 2003 (Rich Text) and then you compose your email, the body of the email will act like Word and underline incorrect words with red lines. How do you make this your default when you just click on the "new" button to compose an email?

You do this in the main Outlook window by going to Tools>Options>Mail Format and make sure Use MS Word to edit e-mail messages is checked.
