Outlook 2003 Junk Mail Filters not applied when using RDP

When accessing Outlook 2003 on local computer running XP Pro the configured Junk Mail filters work great. When you make a Remote Desktop connection to this desktop and open Outlook 2003 the junk mail filters are not applied.

Has anyone encountered this challenge?
