Outlook 2003 Custom Message Form

Trying to create a custom message form that will require the sender to enter a job number for every e-mail they create. I have the form created and it works, but the field does not appear in the preview pane and a search returns no results when the text in the field is searched for.

Anyone know how to resolve these issues?
