We recently upgraded everyone to Office 2003, and we were aware of the different viewing issues we would have with users, except this one.. We have some users who put a lot of notes in the note field when the contact is open. On previous versions of Outlook, the note field was on the very bottom of the contact, and ran the whole screen left to right. However in 2003, it just a smaller box on the right hand side of the contact, running up and down. Now, a lot of the information you can see in the old version, is now cut off with the new format, because the field is so much shorter. There isn't even a scroll bar so you can scroll to the right to get the rest of the info. We searched all morning for an easy way to fix this, even for all users, and we can't. Short of highlithing the whole field, copying it to word, then recopying it back into a new contact. That way it fixes the field, and formats the text correctly, however, thats way to much work for a user with 100 contacts. We would really like to see the whole not field running across the bottom again. Did Microsoft just kind of bypass this issue? Any help would be great.

Have not seen this but I would suggest exporting all contracts to excel files or other. Then import them all back in. Is essence you will be resaving all the contacts all at once.

Very strange. That didn't happen to us when we upgraded and we have loads of notes about customers' equipment, etc in the notes fields.

I've not tried this, but with the cursor in the notes field, can you use Ctrl+A to SelectAll? If so, you could copy it into an editor and then paste it back again do that it wraps properly again.

It only happens to contacts that were previously copied with Excel or some table editor that had the cells in it. I can control A, copy and paste it all to word, shrink it, and paste it back into a new contact, but obviously that's a lot of work for users with 100+ contacts.
