outlook 2003 contact error

I migrated to a new system and copied over the PST files to the new computer. Everything else works fine. BUt after I did a send recive I saw a copy of the same email.
But the main problem was when tried to send mails, I clicked on to to bring up the address list, I got a message saying,
"the address list could not be displayed. the contacts folder associated with this folder could not be opened, it may have been removed or deleted or you do not have permissions."
What can be done. Please advice.

which issue exactly? you are having trouble with the contacts folder? need more details.

Sorry for the late post.
I never did resolve the issue. Restored outlook from pst.
