Hi,

How can I change which folder junk mail is automatically filtered into in outlook?

I usually use a mac with the default mac mail application which allows you to spcify which folder junk mail goes into, I want to be able to do this in outlook 2003.

From MS Outlook Help:
Delete messages instead of moving them to the Junk E-mail folder

On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Preferences tab, under E-mail, click Junk E-mail.
Select the Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of moving it to the Junk E-mail folder check box.
Note When you permanently delete suspected junk e-mail messages, the messages are immediately deleted and not moved into the Deleted Items folder.

Note If you are using a Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account and working online, you must be using Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 or later. If you do not know what version of Exchange server your e-mail account is using, contact your Exchange administrator.

That may or may not be what you're looking for..

You could also create a custom rule, basically saying for anything that goes to the "junk" email folder, move it wherever else.

As far as I know, you cannot delete that folder, unless you use a 3rd party app to do so, possibly, or do some custom programming yourself - maybe.

This probably depends on what junk filter you are using.

Both of mine use Outlook's rules to direct junk.
