How can you make a rule delete an email (non-permanently) and mark it as read?

Thanks,
Lazer [pipe]

Assuming the email is always from the same person, and assuming you have Outlook 2002, go to Tools Menu, Rules Wizard. Click New put a tick in start from a blank rule, check messages when they arrive, click next. Put tick in from people or distribution list. Click on the link that has appeared in the rule description box and select the person the email is from. Click next, put a tick in delete it and also tick the box saying mark it as read. If you get an outlook message box appear click yes. Then click Finish.

Thanks for your reply. I don't see an option of "mark as read" where you indicated.

What version of Outlook are you running?
