Hi,
Here is one possible approach:
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected.
'mail.yourdomainname.com'
Server: 'mail.yourdomainname.com'
Protocol: POP3
Server Response: '-ERR invalid user or password'
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Solution - assuming you have the latest service pack installed for Outlook or Outlook Express, check your Outlook Express settings, making sure that the POP3 and SMTP servers are correct, and that your full username (your email address) and password are correct. If you are still having problems, it could be that your password has somehow become corrupted. Try changing it in your server (e.g. in the control panel such as cPanel or Plesk).
This post indicates that there is a known problem with 2002 and Vista:

and says upgrade to 2003:

Hi,
I mentioned the Vista links because I am not clear if you completely removed Vista to go with XP or dual-booted. That may have caused some issues ..
