I upgraded to Outlook 2002 so that I could send and receive from multiple e-mail accounts. MSN & hot mail accounts work great. I have MSN for ISP. I am receiving the following message when I test the settings for a pop3 account, User@ameritech.net "Server found but no response. Verify that port & SSL information is correct". If I try to send a message from Outlook I receive this message. "Sending error 0x800CCCOF. Connection to server interrupted. Contact service provider".

I understand some of my settings are incorrect. Where do I get the smtp server info for the isp, MSN?

Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Scott

when useing another email account from a different ISP you would usually need to change the smtp server info to the isp's that you are on. (let us know if you don't know how to do so?) in your case change the smtp server info on the ameritech.net account to MSN's outgoing mail server. PROBLEM!: does MSN have an outgoing mail server to change it to? becuase MSN is a HTTP server, right? OR, does MSN have an open relay? (i seriously doubt it!)

your answer would come from MSN or anyone here that happens to know this info. does msn have a smtp? if so, what it is? "Jack of all trades. Master of none."
